She was predeceased by: her parents, Hans Michaelsen and Alma Michaelsen (Claussen); her husband Robert D. Simon; her son John Charles Simon; her siblings, Peter Michaelsen (Ruth), Arnold Michaelsen (Esther), Margaret Andersen (Dean), Helen Weinrich (Don) and Mary Pettijohn (Dale); her parents-in-law, Alex and Mamie Simon; her siblings-in-law, Dale, Ellen Simon, Lois Simon and Richard Zechmann; and her nephews, Tommy Michaelsen, Dennis Andersen, David Andersen, Ted Weinrich and David Simon.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Simon-Bailey (Alan) of Englewood, CO, Jerry Simon (Julie) of Golden, CO and Douglas Simon (Donna) of Omaha, NE; her grandchildren, A. Grace Bailey, Eliese Simon, Robbie Bailey and Trinity Simon; and her sister Betty Zechmann of Norfolk. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
Memorials can be made to the family for distribution at a future date.
