He is survived by: his children, Curtis Scheele (Jodie) and Cheryl Davis (John); his grandchildren, Trevor (Danielle), Carson, Daylen, Anika Scheele, Jade Schmit (Justin), Jordan Davis, Taylor Sides (Skyler) and Toni Davis; his sister Melanie Clay (Jerry); and his siblings-in-law, Lila Penner, Joyce Lahodny, Elville Arntt and Melvin Arntt.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home (2414 H St, Fairbury, NE 68352). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Presbyterian Church - Steele City (311 E Main St, Steele City, NE 68440).
