She was predeceased by: her parents, Orland S. Johnson and Eva Irene Johnson (Haugen) of Leland, Iowa.; her husband Herman J Gerdes of Savior's Lutheran Church; her sons, Derek and Todd; and her grandson Caelan.
She is survived by: her daughters, Darla Hopwood (Ron) and Brenda Toline (Ken); her grandchildren, Katie, Seth, Cari, Maddie and Kristen; her great grandchildren, Arika, Rowan, Waylon, Cole and Johnathan; and her siblings, Gayle, Sherri and Kevin. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Shelby Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the family and will be designated later.
