We are sad to announce that on September 15, 2025, at the age of 88, Elaine Hennings of Stromsburg, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Elaine leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Verner Gustafson and Doris Gustafson (Lindquist); her husband Harl Hennings; her siblings, Marvin'Whitey'Gustafson and Bonnie Clay; and her nephew Pat Berger.
She is survived by: her daughter Vella Rae Welin (Karl) of Central City; her sister Betty Berger (Dennis) of Houston, TX; and her brother-in-law Larry Clay of Wakefield. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Dubas Funeral Home (214 Commercial St, Stromsburg, NE 68666). A burial was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Stromsburg Cemetery (1412 Co Rd 126, Stromsburg, NE 68666).
