He is survived by: his wife Dianne Kaeding; his children, Sunshine, Corey Metschke of Lincoln, Eric, Nikki Nielsen of Adel, IA, Johanna Nielsen and Rachel Nielsen of Stromsburg; his grandson Jacob Nielsen of Stromsburg; his children, Bennett, Kaed, Cameron Nielsen of Adel, IA, Luke, Samuel and Levi Metschke of Lincoln; and his sisters, Carolyn (Clarence Hoffman), Janet Fangmeyer of Deshler and Jeanne (Ric Stuhr).
