He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad Nathan and Mildred Olson (Tlamka); and his brother-in-law John Ready. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Marie Dahle of Stromsburg; his children, Alissa Kahler (Mark) of Stromsburg, Adam Olson (Gloria) of Fairmont and Arik Olson of York; and his siblings, Bonnie Harvey (Ron) of Swanee, GA, Janet Ready of Hastings, Janice Jacobsen (Russell) of Lincoln, Roger Olson (Sue) of Lincoln and Orwin Olson (Betty) of Lincoln. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

“Mr Olson was always a kind man with a big heart. Always ready to lend a hand to a neighbor in need. He helped me out in many occasions. I remember as a nurse trying to get to work, he would kindly come with a bobcat if needed! He was always there for my family. My sympathies for his widow and family. I am saddened by his loss. He was part of what made Stromsburg such a great town. My prayers are with his family at this sad time. (Jenny Burke Duffek)”
