He is survived by: his wife Kathy of Stromsburg; his sons, Steven Cowan (Terre) of Lincoln, Russ Cowan of Kearney and Paul Cowan (Jodi) of Seward; his grandchildren, Jaylee, Ryane Cowan, Alyssa and Stuart Cowan; and his sisters, Beverly Kring of Axtell, Marilyn Wittrock of Burns and Sandra Leonard (Cary) of Shawnee, Oklahoma. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
