He was predeceased by: his parents, Fern Evelyn Lindquist (Johnson) and Floyd Lindquist; his daughter Leah Lindquist; his sister Starlyn Bestline; and his in-laws, Otis and Janet Gartner.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Gartner-Nielsen of Stromsburg; his children, Craig Lindquist (Brenda) of Stromsburg, Kevin Lindquist of Lincoln and Stacey Wilgocki (Sam) of Silver Creek; his sister Rhonda Hallquist (Ken) of Lincoln; and his brothers-in-law, Fred Gartner (Sheryl) of Lincoln and Dave Gartner (Pat) of York. He is also survived by his grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Stromsburg Cemetery (1412 Co Rd 126, Stromsburg, NE 68666).
