He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Larson and Astrid Larson (Johnson); his grandchildren, Mickey Larson and Lindsay Larson; and his brother-in-law Frank Spires.

He is survived by: his wife Marlene M. Anderson of Stromsburg; his children, Scott Larson (Terri) of Stromsburg, Steve Larson (Jody) of Stromsburg and Shelli Hackenkamp (Craig) of Stromsburg; his sister Marlene Spires of Central City; and his grandchildren, Tyler, Lacey, Emily, Brandon, Ashley, Justin, Chase and Kayla. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
