He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph P. Kunz and Anna J. Kunz (Meiergerd); his grandfather Maximilian Kunz; his siblings, Paul (Bus), Fred (Stub), Rollie, Kathryn Winkler and Joan Welte; his in-laws, Charles Winkler, Raydean Kunz (Slaymaker) and Grant Welke; his nephew Kyle Welte; his grandson Paul Kunz; and his great grandchildren, Liam Sims and Sampson Norman.
He is survived by: his brothers, Bus (Paul) and Kunz Brothers; his daughter Patricia; his wife Helen; his children, Diane Norman of Crawford, Maxine Leick (Joe) of Cozad, Trish Endorf (Bob) of Fairbury, Jana Lowe (Jeff) of Hays, KS, Peggy Dvorak (Tom) of Stuart, Dan Kunz (Tam) of Stuart, Ken Kunz (Jan) of Stuart and Mike Kunz (Michele) of Stuart; and his grandchildren, Shane Norman (Clint Norman), Luke Norman (Brett Norman), Seth Leick (Allyn Leick), Adam Dvorak (Kyle Dvorak), Jenna Sobotka (Randii Endorf), Sydne Sims (Drew Endorf), Rebecca Welsh (Max William Kunz), Heather Stout (Zachary Kunz), Kennison Kunz (Jett Kunz), Hayden Lowe (Jillian Lowe) and Harrison Lowe (Graham Stephenson). He is also survived by his 26 Great Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Seger Funeral Home (202 East 2nd Street, Stuart, NE 68780). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Boniface Catholic Church (106 E 3rd St, Stuart, NE 68780).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Parkside Manor, St. Boniface Church, Legion Post #115, or Stuart Fire Department.
