He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Sauer and Opal Sauer (Jenkins); and his siblings, Bill, Walter Sauer (Fritz McBride) and Tammy (Tommy).
He is survived by: his wife Dixie Sauer of Sutherland; his children, Doug Sauer of Ardmore, OK, John Sauer of Ogallala and Jackie Bowers (Alan) of Midwest City, OK; his grandchildren, Drake Sauer (Breezy), Dru Sauer (Autumn), Tanner Bowers, Kendra Drebes (Jeff), Adam Bowers, Justin Bowers and Kaylynn Bowers; his sister Norma Shockley of Cheyenne, WY; and his friend Judie Sauer. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
