It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard R. Lutz of Sutherland, Nebraska, who passed away on February 29, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Emil Lutz and Katherine Lutz (Whirth); his wife Ruth Elizabeth Canaway; his children, Elizabeth, Margie, Peggy and Mark; his sister Kathy Sheldon (Richard); his brothers-in-law, Mike Conaway, Kenny Kates and Lawrence Newkirk; his daughter-in-law Kendra; and his grandchildren, Mark and Brittnay.

He is survived by : his children, Dick Lutz (Kelly) of Sutherland, Paul Lutz (Laurie) of Sutherland, Teresa McKinney of Lincoln and John Lutz of Sutherland; and his siblings, Emil Jr. Lutz (Mary Ann) of Lee Summitt, MO, Carolyn Newkirk of Tecumseh and Jane Kates of Broomfield, CO. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Sutherland Fire and Rescue.
