He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Brown and Patricia Brown (Rickel); his father-in-law Martin Nuss; his siblings-in-law, Darlene Brown and Kevin Ross; and his nephew Mike Shaffer.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce S. Nuss; his children, Danielle Cox (Jerry), James R Brown III and Trey Brown (Emily); his grandchildren, Cora Cox, Leah Cox and James Remington Brown; and his siblings, Samantha Lundblad (Bryan), Kelly Trice and Jeff Brown (Beverly Kocher). He is also survived by numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Stockham Community Church (401 Scott St, Aurora, NE 68818).
