It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Salome Reichert of Sutton, Nebraska, born in York, Nebraska, who passed away at the age of 97, on September 3, 2020. She was predeceased by : her parents, Theodore Ehly and Lydia Ehly (Griess); her husband Willard Reichert; her stepmother Louise; her siblings, Elizabeth, Johanna, Marie and Harold; and her grandson Elliot.

Pallbearers will be Donald Nuss, Richard Reichert, Milton Ehly, Steve Schroetlin, Mike Schroetlin and Kevin Griess. Due to the COVID-19 Directed Health Measure Phase III, we are limited to 50% occupancy (100 people) for the Funeral Service.

Masks will be mandatory for the services.Memorial contributions may be directed to the Sutton Community Home.Salome was born on March 27, 1923, in York County, NE to Theodore and Lydia (Griess) Ehly.

Tom DeVries wrote a sympathy message

“Aunt Salome was a dear soul. Her kindness and sincerity were always showing. She lived the life that was obvious in the first answer of the Heidelberger: "That I,with body and soul, both in life and in death, am not my own, but belong to my faithful Saviour, Jesus Christ." It would have been more familiar to her in German, but the message is carried across to us in English. OUr condolences and love to the entire family. Tom and Marilyn DeVries (niece and husband)”
