She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry B. Nelson and Ida C. Nelson (Wedberg); her husband Bob; her sisters, Betty Carper and Bonnie McConnell; her brothers-in-law, Willard Carper and Ron McConnell; her nieces, Linda Hankins (Carper) and Cynthia McConnell; and her nephew David McConnell.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Stroud (Linda) and Julie Zahn (Dave); and her grandchildren, Justin Stroud (Beth), Jenna Petrocchi (Ryan), Mallory Carstens (Dave), Andrew Zahn (Shannon) and Nathan Zahn. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren; also numerous nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. John's United Church of Christ (511 7th St, Syracuse, NE 68446). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
