He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bruns and Rosiland Bruns (Jager); his wife Luanna Bruns; his daughter Dianna Bruns; and his siblings, Louise Eden and John Bruns.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Clark (Douglas) of Douglas and Richard Bruns Jr. (Katy) of Syracuse; his grandchildren, Samantha Overman (Austin) of Cape Coral, FL, Skylar Clark of Eagle and Cheyanne Bruns of Lincoln; his great grandchildren, Luanna Overman of Cape Coral, FL and Theodore Beall of Lincoln; and his brother-in-law Carl Bassinger of Hamburg, Iowa. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
