He was predeceased by : his parents, Floyd H. Goings and Rose Goings (Lavigne); his wife Frances P. Rieken; his daughter Vicky Mahoney; his siblings, Gale (Donna Goings), Dean (Anita Goings), Loren Goings (Glade), Laverne Goings and Marjorie; and his brother-in-law Lloyd Johnson.

He is survived by : his children, Theresa Borrenpohl (Jim) of Tecumseh and Harley Goings, Jr. (Maureen "Mo") of Tecumseh; his grandchildren, James Borrenpohl (Briana), Jonathan Borrenpohl (Erica), Jessica Szychowski (Jason), Lindy Mahoney, Jeff Mahoney, Michael Goings and Jared Goings; his great grandchildren, Brooke, Jenna, Jackson, Jolyne, Andrew, Riley, Edwin, Summer and Paisley; his sisters-in-law, Peg Thomsen, Tena Green, Lena Lotter, Irene Rieken and Vera Rieken; and also Kyler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
