He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Peters and Elda Peters (Gottula); his son Craig; his siblings, Roger, Willa Jean Rottman (Harry), Donna Jeffery (Paul), Betty Lippold (Glen) and LeRoy Peters; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Grabow, Marlen Beethe, Paul Hestermann, Dalen Beethe (Mary) and Maryellen Doeden (Ray).

He is survived by: his wife Sheila Beethe of Elk Creek; his son Curtis (Cathie) of Elk Creek; his granddaughters, Shelbi and Stefani; his sister Diane Grabow of Cedar, MN; and his sisters-in-law, Juanita Peters of Elk Creek, Lois Beethe of Elk Creek and Mardell Hestermann of Adams. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
