He is survived by: his children, Dennis Metz (Jill), Cristie Supernaw and Brenda Metz; his grandchildren, Stefanie Mortensen (Jarred), Jake Metz, Haylee Townsend (James), Riley Metz, Alivia Metz, Ethan Reuling (Michelle), Madeline Reuling, Shayla Rohlfs (Lane), Wyatt Moore and Eli Moore; and his great grandchildren, Lilly Metz, Amelia Metz, Maple Mortensen, Aspen Mortensen, Rowan Mortensen, Cypress Mortensen, Hawthorne Mortensen, Gwen Townsend, Ava Smith, Henry Reuling, Conley Reuling, Quinn Reuling, Rya Reuling, Kiara Metz, Logan Wetzel and Phoenix Rohlfs.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (1116 K St, Tekamah, NE 68061).
