He was predeceased by: his parents, Erle "Gob" Figard and Phyllis Figard (Nutter); his nephew Bernie Andersen; his brother-in-law Gar Holbrook; and his stepnephew John Holbrook.
He is survived by: his son DJ; his daughter-in-law Tonya; his grandchildren, Taynen, Tiernan and Trent; his aunt Joyce (Nutter); his uncle Duane Molley; and his sisters, Diane Andersen (Allen), Deb Figard and Denise Hoesing (Joe). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
The military honors will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Hillcrest Cemetery (83774 Maple St, Thedford, NE 69166).
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Thedford American Legion.
