He was predeceased by: his parents, Gayle Hamilton and Minnie Mary Hamilton; his sisters, Gayla Horvat and Clarine Balliet; his brothers-in-law, Ben Gilligan and Dean Pearman; and his nephew Cory Pearman.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy Gilligan of Thedford; his children, Kort Hamilton (TJ) of Thedford, Heidi Hamilton (Jeremy) of Hastings, Kolby Hamilton (Halsie) of Maywood and HaLee Kramer (Adam) of Stapleton; his grandchildren, Madisyn, Kamryn, Jacie, Landon, KwynLee, Kalem, Ryan, Kade, Maevah and Trajan John; and his brothers, Craig Hamilton of Thedford and Tom Hamilton (Pat) of Ennis, Montana..
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Thomas County Fairgrounds. A burial will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at the Hillcrest Cemetery (83774 Maple St, Thedford, NE 69166).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Superheroes of the Sandhills Cancer Fund at Thedford Public Schools or to the Sandhills Cancer Fund in Ainsworth, PO Box 127, Ainsworth, NE 69210.
