She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence John and Anne Hudson Forge (Merrifield); her stepmother Elizabeth Nitz Forge; her children, Paul and Sarah; the father of her children Frank J. Hecht; her siblings, David, Clarence John Jr. "Jack", Marian, Marge, Carol and Louise; and her in-laws, Dick, Marian Wisch (Hecht), Marvin and Agnes Renner (Hecht).
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Mettler (Paul) of Chicago, Mark Hecht (Mary) of Tilden, Anne Meis (Jim) of Elgin, Emily Borer (Merle) of Elgin, John Hecht (Stacy) of Roca and Kathleen Margheim (Scott) of Columbus; and her sister-in-law Delores Forge of Denver. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Brockhaus-Harlan Funeral Home - Tilden (303 E 2nd St, Tilden, NE 68781). A wake was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church (300 E 2nd St, Tilden, NE 68781). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
