He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Evelyn, Ivor Samuelson, Richard and Ruth Peterson; and his mother-in-law Marian Saathoff.

He is survived by: his parents, Joel Samuelson and Karen Samuelson (Peterson) of Trumbull; his wife Lori Samuelson of Trumbull; his children, Samantha Pfeiffer (DJ) of Trumbull, Reid Samuelson of Trumbull and Josie Svoboda (Justin) of David City; his grandchildren, John and June Pfeiffer; and his siblings, Kevin Samuelson (Rochelle) of Bennington, Gretchen Beck (Kevin) of Trumbull and Eric Samuelson (Julie) of Trumbull.

Memorials may be given to Trumbull Community Center or First St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
