He is survived by: his wife Lovella Marie Nollett; his brother Sam Miles; his children, Rory Miles of Grand Island, NE and Anne Clark (Dick) of Valentine; his grandson Brady Clark; his great grandchild Wyatt; his granddaughter Abby Clark (Clint Winn); his granddaughter-in-law Angela Miles; his children, Cooper, Avery, Calli and James Miles (Ashley); his granddaughter Nora; his children, Austin Lee Miles (Le Techa), Taylor Miles (Taylor), Nicole Miles and Amy Miles; his grandson Chad Miles; and his great grandchild Olivia Miles.

In recognition of their many contributions to the community, Bernard and Lovella were honored with the Valentine Outstanding Citizen Award.
