She is survived by : her cousin Jeanne Joiner; her children, Jan Epke (Don) of Springview, NE and J. D. Carr of Yankton, SD; her granddaughters, Kris Tool (Tanner) of Elm Creek, NE, Kasy Epke of Valentine, NE and Kami Epke of Elm Creek, NE; her great grandchildren, Cavan and Carden Tool of Elm Creek, NE; her sister Pat Schubauer (Dave) of Black Hawk, SD; her nephews, Mike Young (Shelia) of Valentine, NE, Mark Young of Wood Lake, NE, James Engel (Diane) of Waverly, NE and John Schubauer (Allison) of Vale, SD; her niece Kristine Starmer (Jeromy) of Summerset, SD; her stepchildren, LaDel Jankord (Ken) of Pierre, SD, Dixie Colvin of Albuquerque, NM and Tim Colvin (Dana) of Valentine, NE; and her stepgrandchildren, T. C. Colvin (Lacee) of Valentine, NE, Eric Colvin (Jordan) of Lincoln, NE, David Weiss of Albuquerque, NM and Christen Shelbourn (John) of Bennington, NE. She is also survived by several step great grandchildren; numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, she requested memorials to the Valentine Senior Center or The Methodist Church of Valentine.
