She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Markus and Velma Markus (Mundt); her grandparents, John and Mata Mundt; and her sisters, Sherry Olson and Relda Markus.
She is survived by: her children, Vernon (Marlys) of Lakeview, Karla Jensen (Robert) of Tucson, AZ, Renae Coleman (Lonnie) of Valentine and Karen Walkling of Omaha; and her siblings, Ila Vanden Berg of Michigan, Kyle Roti of Sioux Falls, John Markus of Merriman and Kim Markus of Valentine.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sandoz Chapel of the Pines (90125 Hatchery Rd, Valentine, NE 69201). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lakeview Christian Reformed Church (29930 270th Avenue 1 mile East of Lakeview School Lakeview, SD 57555, Mission, SD).
