He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Mencl and Lillian Schultze (Don); and his siblings-in-law, Jim Rowe, Marilyn Rhoades and Jackie Barnard (Duane).
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Henzel; his daughters, Jennifer Mencl (Jon Ahlers) of Duluth, Robyn Mencl of Virginia and Courtney Mencl of Adams; his grandchildren, Masyn Arena and Ty Arena; his sister Charlotte Rowe of Lincoln; and his brother-in-law Richard Rhoades of Lincoln. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Harman - Wright Mortuary (623 Elk St, Beatrice, NE 68310).
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice in care of the mortuary.
