He is survived by: his children, Jacy Douglas, Tim Bern (Nancy), Lynette Hraban (Mark) and Allyson Maly (Tim); his grandchildren, Jessica Novotny (James), Jennifer Erks (Aaron), Mitch Bern (Kristen), Andy Bern, Alex Bern (Erin), Mindy Wallace (Mike), Cole Hraban (Kari), Mackenzie Chapek (Nick), Madyson Breunig (Brandon), Seth Maly (Halle Heiss) and Bailey Maly (Logan Brabec); his brother Mark Bern (Elise); Barb Sukstorf. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
