We announce the death of Michael J. Schnitker of Wahoo, Nebraska, who passed away on July 19, 2026, at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his parents, James and Mary C. Schnitker; his brother David Schnitker; his siblings-in-law, Rick McClees and Cecilia Schnitker; his parents-in-law, Janice and Marvin Hestermann; and his granddaughter Autumn Brisson.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Brisson (Brisson); his children, Nathan, Marc and MacKenzie; his stepsons, Matthew (Megan) and Blake Brisson; his grandchildren, Aurora and Alfie; his siblings, Ellen McClees, Colleen Medearis (Harold), Connie Hamilton (Eddy), Kevin Schnitker and Pat Schnitker; and his siblings-in-law, Joni Schnitker, Vicky Benson (Alan), Cindy Bottger (Steve) and Marvin Hestermann (Jen). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts, and close friends.
