She was predeceased by : her parents, Louis Placek and Helen Placek (Kliment); her husband Warren Barry; her sister Venis Reitmajer; her brothers-in-law, Murv Barry and Daryl Reitmajer; her niece Susan Barry McCready; and her nephews, Scott Barry and Daniel Reitmajer.

She is survived by : her children, Lynae Callan (Steve) of Wahoo, Russell Barry (Carrie) of Wahoo and Ryan Barry (Jennifer) of Jacksonville, FL; and her grandchildren, Alex, Evan, Kristin Callan, Adam Barry (Rachel), Justin Barry (Jessica), Jessica Kurth (Patrick), Hudson, Dane and Preston Barry. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Saunders County Historical Society, or Malmo Fire Department.
