It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bonnie J. Clay of Wakefield, Nebraska, who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Verner Gustafson and Doris Gustafson; her brother Whitey; and her brother-in-law Harl. She is survived by : her husband Larry Clay; her sisters, Elaine Hennings of Shelby and Betty Berger (Dennis) of Houston; her children, Mike Clay (Carla) of Wakefield and Kristal Bechtold (Mike) of Ord; her grandsons, Lane Clay of La Habra, Chad Clay of Akron, Brant Bechtold (Shelby) of Ord and Brooks Bechtold (Breanna); and her great grandchild Addison of DeWitt. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Salem Lutheran Church - Wakefield (411 Winter St, Wakefield, NE 68784). A prayer was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
