He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Phipps and Mardell Phipps (Thomsen); and his siblings, Debra Phipps and David Phipps. He is survived by: his children, Douglas Phipps, Jr. (Brittney Tucker) and Crystall Spell (Joseph); his fiancé Kelly Persong; his grandchildren, Joseph, Louella and Kyson Phipps; and his brother Dale Phipps (Annette). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Evangelical Covenant Church (802 Winter St, Wakefield, NE 68784). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
