She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Rice and S. Helen Vrana (Nusbaum); her stepfather John Vrana; her husband Harry Mills; and her siblings, Katherine Nolan, Edward, Don and James Rice.

She is survived by: her children, Marlene Mills-Margesson (Hugh) of San Clemente, CA, Carol Mills of Alcobaça, Portugal, Robin Byers (Dan) of Lincoln, NE and Scott Mills (Terri) of Borger, TX.; her grandchildren, Brittney Byers, Ross Byers, Taylor Byers, Addison Timmes (Jack), Haylee Sherwood (Brock) and Kristen Gordon (Henry); her great grandchildren, Blakelee, Westyn, Knox and Scottye Sherwood; and her brothers, Harold and Dale Rice.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Evangelical Covenant Church in Wakefield.
