Joyce E. Swanson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce E. Swanson of Walthill, Nebraska, who passed away on April 30, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Milligan and Hazel Milligan (Shepherd); her husband Russell Swanson; her children, Pete Swanson and Margaret "Peggy" Maslonka (Peggy); her son-in-law Tom Koob; and her sister Lynn Ahlers.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rebecca Koob (Joseph Babij) of Walthill, NE and Jennifer Juhlin (Wally) of Crawford, NE; and her grandchildren, Dustin Swanson, Ashten Short, Martina Lemmon, McKenna Juhlin, Logan Short, James Olson, Steven Olson and Daniel Olson. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and her nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church - Walthill (207 Broughton St, Walthill, NE 68067). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
