We announce the death of Barbara Lou Weber of Waverly, Nebraska, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 87. Barbara will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Barbara will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Barbara will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Barbara’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Conrad Weber and Marie Weber (Rohrig); her husband Daryl Hodgin; her granddaughter Katey Bremer; and her brothers, Harvey Weber and Donald Weber (JoAnn).
She is survived by: her children, Doug Hodgin (Chris), Dave Hodgin (Sheila), Lincoln, Brenda Hodgin and Becky Carson (Mitch) of Lascassas; her brother Phil Weber (Bernice); and her sister-in-law Joan Weber. She is also survived by 9 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (14410 Folkestone St, Waverly, NE 68462).
