John Surman wrote a sympathy message

“Another of the Y" school students has answered the last summons. Bonnie and all of us students used to have some fun with Handy-Over and Prisoner's Base and other activities during our recess periods and of course, the hill behind the school was wonderful to sled on back when we used to actually get snow during the winters. Her children's books were a wonderful show of her talents as well as her knack for decorating cakes. She will be missed by many! John Surman”
