He was predeceased by: his parents, James Russel and Helen Anna Beckman (Gathje); his brothers, Duane and Dennis; and his brothers-in-law, Tom Anderson, Dennis Carlson and Melvern Pagels.
He is survived by: his sisters, Ellen Carlson of Wakefield, Sharon Gustafson (Dan) of Wakefield, Karen Pagels of Golden, CO and LaVon Anderson of Wakefield; his sister-in-law Cindy Beckman of Wayne; and his uncle Harlan Gathje (Judy) of Pender. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
