He was predeceased by : his father James Schaffer. He is survived by : his mother Sharon Schaffer (Settje); his wife Peg Nelson August; his children, Jennifer Taylor (Michelle) of California, Blake Schaffer (Amanda) of Florida, Cassie Davis of Wayne, Jared Nelson (Kristi) of Wayne, Alec Schaffer of Wayne and Kearstin Schaffer of Wayne; his stepfather Jerry Junck of Wayne; and his brothers, Paul Schaffer (Pam) of Arkansas and Kyle Schaffer of Washington. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
