It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim R. Mitchell of Wayne, Nebraska, born in Wakefield, Nebraska, who passed away on January 21, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, James Henry "Bud" and Kathryn Lucille Mitchell (Belt); his brother Duane; and his siblings-in-law, Stan Calhoun, George and Adeline Sieger (Bock).

He is survived by : his wife Janice Sieger; his daughters, Christy Fletcher (Dan) of Big Sky, Montana, Lisa Bebout (Jim) of Nebraska City and Molly Stenger (Adam) of Box Elder; his brothers, Gary Mitchell (Carolyn) of Tilden, Dennis Mitchell (Kathy) of Onawa, IA and Bob Mitchell of Wayne; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Calhoun of Parker, CO and Jackie Mitchell of Wakefield. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
