He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton "Pete" Peterson and Wilma Peterson (Barnes); his siblings, Norman Peterson and Jeanette Lacey; his son-in-law Rick Svoboda; and his grandsons, Nick Svoboda and Ryan Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Donnah Catlett of Broken Bow; his children, Craig Peterson of Weissert and Cynthia Svoboda of Hastings; his granddaughters, Amber (Jason Lamb) of Merna and Kimberly Svoboda of Hastings; and his siblings-in-law, Doris Peterson, John Lacey, Sharon Dowse (Kelvin), Doris Kaelin (Karl) and Betty Sillivan (Curt). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Govier Brothers Mortuary (542 S 9th Ave, Broken Bow, NE 68822). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow.
