The passing of Janice Harstick of West Point, Nebraska leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 21, 2025 at the age of 90. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Burger and Cecilia Burger (Meister); her husband Willie of Leo's Catholic Church; her siblings, James Burger (Amalie), Joan Manion (Robert "Porky"), Kenneth Burger (Marie) and Bernard "Beans" Burger (Elaine); and her siblings-in-law, Donna Uher (Robert) and Ted Tingelhoff.
She is survived by: her children, Mark (Debbie) of West Point, Jeffrey of West Point, Willard Dean (Cindy) of Columbus, Gregory (Debra) of Lincoln and Susan Jacobus (Craig) of Fremont; and her sister Patricia Tingelhoff. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (343 N Monitor St, West Point, NE 68788). A rosary will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the GACC Endowments, Franciscan Healthcare Foundation, or the St. Joseph's Elder Services Foundation.
