He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph R. Kafka and Helen Kafka (Faltin); his siblings, Edward Kafka and Adella Beck; his wife Kathryn Kafka (Toby); and his son Thomas Kafka.
He is survived by: his daughter Patricia; his son-in-law Brian Thomas of Papillion; his son Noah; his daughter-in-law Makinsey Thomas; his great grandchild Krew Joseph Thomas of Fremont Nebraska; his son Joseph Kafka; his daughter-in-law Deborah Siebrandt of San Jose, CA.; his daughter Lauren Kafka Hamm; his son-in-law Scott Hamm of San Jose, CA; and his grandchild Karajo Kafka of San Diego, CA..
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (517 Frasier St, Beemer, NE 68716). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A wake was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
