Marcella Schlecht Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marcella Schlecht of West Point, Nebraska, who passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Einer Johnson and Christina Johnson (Meier); her husband William Schlecht of Mary's Catholic Church; her son Kenneth; her son-in-law Jeff Beune; and her sisters, Irene Hahn (Frank), Bernice Naber (Lawrence), Delores Poppe (Clarence) and Ruth Hinz (Delmer).

She is survived by: her children, Cyndy Beune (Robert Marksmeier) of West Point, Ronald (Eileen) of West Point and Stanley of Beemer; her grandchildren, Diana Koger (Dan), Amy Heller (Ben) and Kevin Beune; and her great grandchildren, Hunter, Kylee, Ila, Slate and Olivia.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stokely Funeral Home (121 E Park St, West Point, NE 68788). A vigil service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sunshine Center.
