He is survived by: his mother Patricia Schantz (Smith) of Warrensburg, MO; his brothers, Gene Schantz (Tede) of Raytown, MO and Robbie Schantz of Lawrence, KS; his nephew Vincent Schantz; and his aunts, Merna Recker of West Point and Liz Ruger of Fremont.
