It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wilbert Throener of West Point, Nebraska, who passed away on June 12, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Throener and Mary Throener (Oligmueller); his wife Liz; and his son James. He is survived by: his children, Karen Benne (Mark), Duane Throener (Jenny) of West Point and Randy Throener (Bethany) of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Ruth Heller (Brian) of West Point, Steve Benne (Stacy) of Thurston, Laura Fox (Kirby) of Concordia, Kansas, Deana Benne of Salina, Kansas, Jacie Eisenhauer (Darrin) of West Point, Keyden of West Point, Kyler Throener of West Point, Alex and Ansley Throener of Lincoln; his brothers, Ambrose (Shirley) of Little Falls, MN, Lawrence (Mary) of Columbus, NE and Marty of West Point; and his siblings-in-law, Harold Ortmeier of Blair and Deana Mark of Denver, CO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Boniface Catholic Church (450 12th Rd, West Point, NE 68788). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
