With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Rebecka J. Carlson of Wilcox, Nebraska, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Rebecka left this world on June 6, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert W. Poague and Lillian "Faye" Poague (Russell); her brothers, John and James; and her stepson Rip Carlson.
She is survived by: her husband Keith C. Carlson; her sister Melinda Ferree of Wilcox; her nieces, Kaylee Yetter (Shane) of Broken Bow, Nebraska and Taylor Rothell (Ian) of Olatha, Kansas; her great-niece Lillian Mae Yetter; her great-nephews, Asher, Avett and Shepherd Rothell; her aunt Phyllis Schwaninger of Clarinda, Iowa; her stepdaughters, JoDee West of Lincoln, Nebraska and Julie Chapin (Dean) of Shell Knob, Missouri; and her stepgranddaughter Jianna West. She is also survived by extended family members, and many special friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Wilcox Community Church (106 W Detroit St, Wilcox, NE 68982).
A memorial has been established in Rebecka's honor and kindly suggested to NET (PBS tv station).
