With solemn reverence, we commemorate LeRoy Petersen of Wisner, Nebraska, whose life came to an end on June 9, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Petersen and Francis Petersen (Leu); his sister Betty (Darrel Felt); his parents-in-law, Herbert and Ida Schulz; and his brother-in-law Verlin (Dorine Schulz).
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Petersen of Wisner, NE; his son Dirk (Jan Petersen); his grandchildren, Ryan, Shelly Petersen, Heather, Todd Kreikemeier, Molly, Dustin Durio and Tess Petersen; his sons, Scott (Hector Petersen) and Todd (Shelly Petersen); his grandchildren, Breeanna, Matt Feauto, Marlee, Joel Schauder, Danielle, Cole Gruber, Katie, Nick Hunter, Abby and Alec Ditoro; and his brother Ralph (Rita Petersen). He is also survived by 13 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church-Wisner (509 13th St N, Wisner, NE 68791). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
The family suggests that memorials be directed to the Wisner Senior Center or St. Paul Lutheran Church.
