He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Opp (Fritz) and Hazel Opp (Lilienthal); his wife Marilyn Jean Tagel (Jeanne) of Ewing; his sister Dixie; and his granddaughter Amber.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Opp, April Opp of Grand Island and Joseph "Scott" Opp (Karen) of Jacksonville, Florida; his grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Macy Opp, Aaron Leonard (Jana), Tiffany Leonard and Aspen Opp; his great grandchildren, Braelyn Novak, Alana and Zane Opp; and his siblings, Leo (Carol), Ervin (Barbara) and Anna Wood. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations are suggested to the American Legion Post 314.
