He is survived by: his children, Jeannie Thomas (Anthony) of Wymore and Darin Michaelis of Wymore; his grandchildren, Heather Penner, Courtney Tennant (Jayson), Dakota Hurley (Jerrad), Dustin Michaelis (Amber Owens), Leslie Smith (Derek) and Chelsea Jones (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Isabelle, Emily Penner, Henry, Ryan Tennant, Parker, Noah, Aspen, Josephine, Stetson Hurley, Colt Michaelis, Carlie, Lane, Hunter Smith, Paisley, Remi and Makenzie Jones; his siblings, Dell Michaelis (Margaret), Roger Michaelis and Ginger Nicolaus (Todd); his siblings-in-law, Roger Plihal (Suzanne), Linda James (Ed) and Sherri Ottersberg (Doug); and his family Gordon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for future designation with the funeral home in charge.
