It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of June Ellen James of Wymore, Nebraska, born in Dorchester, Nebraska, who passed away on March 27, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, George Rutan and Gertrude Rutan; her husband Bob James; her brothers, Donald (Jean) and Franklin Rutan (Norma); and her niece Jaqueline Fulton.

She is survived by : her children, Kenneth James (LaRay) of Wymore, Bob James Jr. (Amy) of Springboro, OH, Debra Nugent (Paul) of Elkhorn and Jan Richter (Dennis) of Topeka; and her grandchildren, Curtis James (Justine), Justin, Cody James, Andrew (Beca), Caitlin, Zach James, James "Jim", Dana Nugent (Jacob), Matt (Elizabeth) and Daniel Richter. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces, and nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home (505 N 9th St, Wymore, NE 68466). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

A memorial has been established to the Welsh Center in Wymore, Christ Church Episcopal and to Whispering Winds with the funeral home in charge.
